Leonard Norris

Leonard  B.  Norris, age 81, of Battle Creek, died Tuesday, November 20, 2012, at Bronson Battle Creek. Leonard was born on December 5, 1930, in Livingston, TN, the son of Albert S. and Eula M. (McDonald) Norris. He had been an area resident since 1952. He was employed at United Steel and Wire from 1952 until his retirement in 1993. Leonard enjoyed playing poker, hunting, fishing and loved all sports. He was the former president of the Wolverine State Coon Club. Surviving are sons, Davie L. Norris of Battle Creek and Eddie, ( wife Linda) Norris of Texas; grandchildren, Rachel Norris, Sara O’Neil and Rayne Norris; great grandchildren, Kirk and Kristin O’Neil; former wife, Betty R. Pardue; and longtime companion, Jean Sells. He was preceded in death by sons, Ross Norris in 2012 and Ronnie Norris in 2010. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 26, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with The Rev. Travis Davis officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. In accordance with his wishes cremation will take place following the service.
