Lena Bisko

Lena “Katie” Bisko, age 83 of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, October 11, 2012. She was born September 6, 1929 in Akron, Ohio the daughter of Millard and Margaret Wolfe. Katie was a member of Battle Creek Friends Church, enjoyed her daily trips to McDonalds to visit with her friends and liked to take evening walks around the farm. On June 9, 1950 she was married to William Bisko in Angola, Indiana who preceded her in death on November 5, 2006. She was also preceded in death by her son: Kirk Douglas Bisko on July 22, 2010, two brothers: Jim and Gene and one sister: Helen. Surviving is her son: William Bisko, Jr. of Hawaii and her half-brother: Bob Shumate of California. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Battle Creek Friends Church, 1305 Olive Street with Rev. Kelly Hadlich officiating. Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the service. Committal services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
