Larry Eakins

Larry W. Eakins, 54, of Battle Creek passed away Sunday December 4, 2011 at Bronson Battle Creek. He was born on March 26, 1957 to Lloyd E. and Stella (Copeland) Eakins. Larry graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1975. He was employed by Denso Manufacturing and then Smitty’s Sport Shop. In 1976 he married Debbie Dilling, which ended in divorce. Larry is survived by his son, Larry (Mandy Collins) Eakins, of Homer, daughters, Jennifer (Mike) Wightman and Heather (Doug Arnold) Eakins, two grandchildren, a brother Michael Eakins, all of Battle Creek, also, many nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Jimmy Eakins. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, playing keno, spending time with his family and friends at Spanky’s Tavern. Family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm Wednesday December 7, 2011 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Services will be held 2pm Thursday at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to the Family of Larry W. Eakins for his grandchildren.
