Lance Mathew Hopkins, Age 59 of Flint, MI, passed away on October 7 in Battle Creek, Michigan. Lance was born in Alma, Michigan to John and Janet Hopkins on February 21, 1964 he attended Alma High School graduated in 1982 after high school, Lance joined the US Marines and spent seven years serving his country. After his service, Lance worked for MDOC as a construction officer for a few years. He then owned The Keg Party store in Ithaca and a body shop in Alma. Later he went into construction, working his way up to superintendent of construction jobs at Grand Valley State University. Lance is survived by his children Alicia, John and Kristin, four siblings Lonnie, John, Lisa and Lori. He is proceeded in death by his parents John and Janet. A celebration of life will be held in St. Louis Michigan Moose Lodge on December 3, 2023 at 2pm a special thanks goes to Keith Wise for officiating. Special thanks goes to my daughter janelle and my cousin Lynn. Lances life had its mountain top views also the darkest valleys at times but thankfully he knew God during all of his travels.
