Lacey Marie Hamilton, of Springfield, Michigan, passed away on October 14th, 2019, surrounded by the love of her family.
Lacey was born July 1st, 1984, in Battle Creek, MI. She graduated from Harper Creek High School, attended classes at Kellogg Community College, and worked as a Food Sensory and Quality Technologist. But her most prominent role was that of a full-time dedicated and loving mother to her two beautiful children, Emma Rose and Robert John (RJ).
She is survived by her husband, Rob Hamilton; mother, Amy Hinton; her father and step-mother, Chris Willoughby (Becki); Mother-in-Law, Mary Hirdning; maternal grandparents, Esmer and Emma French; two sisters, Brandy Marmolejo (Erick), Lauren Hinton (Grace); a brother, Christopher Willoughby (Sarah); sister-in-law, Ashley Hirdning; brother-in-law, Austin Hirdning; niece and nephew, Zoë and Leo Marmolejo; and many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
Lacey is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Bob and Glenna Willoughby.
Lacey will be remembered as an outgoing friend who enjoyed doing things for others. She loved creating fun and new crafts for her kids and expressing herself through art by painting pictures or even pumpkins for her friends and loved ones. Lacey made it a habit of putting others before herself, often showing deep care and concern for those around her. She was quick to give even when she had little and inspired those around her to do the same. If you were feeling down, rest assured you would have a sympathetic ear and a thoughtful hand-made gift ready for you the next time she saw you. Strong family bonds were essential to Lacey. She welcomed the role of being the family’s “connector” and made certain well-planned events were held regularly. Above all, Lacey loved her children and being a mom. All her loved ones will remember her as a kind, gentle, and deeply compassionate soul with angelic beauty that radiated from the inside out.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 7:00 pm, on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Battle Creek. Funeral services are scheduled for 6:00 pm on Friday, October 18th, at the funeral home with Pastor Carlos Sotomayor officiating.
