Kenneth H. Williams, 84 of Englewood, Florida and Battle Creek, Michigan, went home to be with God on Friday, July 1, 2011. Ken was born March 9, 1927 in Battle Creek, the son of Howard Timothy and Minnie Isabel (Wood) Williams. He entered the U.S. Navy Seabees in 1945 and later reenlisted in 1951 during the Korean Conflict serving aboard the USS Navasota. For many years, Kenneth owned and operated Fire Extinguisher Service in Battle Creek and retired in 1989. He was a member for over 50 years and past Worshipful Master of Ira A. Beck Lodge #503 F. & A. M., member of Saladin Shrine, Battle Creek Shrine Club, Battle Creek Mini 500 Club, American Legion Post #298, V.F.W. and Battle Creek Sub-Aqua Club, and also attended the First Church of Christ Scientist. Surviving are his wife, Beverly of 62 years; son and daughter-in-law: Robert and Rose Williams and many extended family. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider the Ira A.
