Kenneth Price

Kenneth A. Price, age 75, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at the Borgess Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1938 in Grand Rapids, Michigan the son of Ben Harvey and Mabel (Ingram) Price. Ken attended Battle Creek Central High School and served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He worked at the V.A. Hospital, Michigan National Bank, Fort Custer National Cemetery and Rite Aid Pharmacy. Ken was previously married to Patricia Freed and on March 4, 1988 he was married to Shirley Prior who preceded him in death on December 3, 2012. He was also preceded by his parents; three brothers: Paul, Lee and Bennie; and three sisters: Lois Price, Beverly Taylor and Joan Hawkins. Ken is survived by his son: Douglas (Sandy) Price of McKinney, TX; daughter: Cynthia (Larry) Hoxey of Ypsilanti; three step-sons: Blaine Prior of Battle Creek, Kevin (Roxanna) Prior of Hastings and Garth (Nona) Prior of Battle Creek; step-daughter: Candace Ginn of Norfolk, VA; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother: Robert Price of Battle Creek and two sisters: Gloria Hill and Linda (Ron) Lehrke both of Battle Creek; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 20, 2014 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Fort Custer National Cemetery Honor Guard. www.henryfuneralhome.org
