Kenneth (Kenny) E. Kindy, 86, of Battle Creek, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Wednesday October 29, 2024, at home. He was born January 6, 1938, the Son of Lynn and Katherine Rathmann. Kenny graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1957. He is survived by his beloved Wife Dolores Kindy of almost 55 years, Daughters Carol McCann (Bobby), Lori Cole (Delbert), Pamela Woolman and Son Anthony Cardinale (Gloria), 15 Grandchildren, 27 Great Grandchildren and 11 Great, Great Grandchildren. Kenny worked for Kendall Electric for 45 years successfully climbing his way up the career ladder to a top salesman. Kenny’s lifelong passion was enjoying time with his family, but aviation was a close second. He had 8 different flight certifications. He was also an avid skin diver, winning multiple trophies as well as volunteering for the Battle Creek Sherriff’s Department dive team. He was a member of the scuba club where he explored a shipwreck. He was a Mason Shriner. Kenny had many other hobbies including fishing, firearms, air shows, car shows and hunting. His proudest hunting accomplishment came at 15 years old when he shot a 10 point buck, which resulted in his father gifting him his priceless hunting rifle that he cherished the rest of his life. He looked forward to taking trips with his kids, visiting family, touring light houses, cross-country skiing, enjoying nature and the beach. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the funeral home with Rev. Paul Parker officiating.
