Kenneth Cross

Kenneth Marshall Cross, Age 93, Of Battle Creek, Died Friday, April 4, 2014. Kenneth was born on February 22, 1921, in Peru, Illinois, the son of Clifton and Fannie (Curtis) Cross. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during WWII.  On June 10, 1945, he was united in marriage to Dorothy Ann Cross who preceded him in death in 2000. Ken retired from the Kellogg Company and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed making model airplanes, golf and bowling. Surviving are children, Carol (Steve) Elve, Linda Cross and Nancy (Stephen) Weiderman; 7 grandchildren, Lynda (Ron) Thurman, Scott (Julie) Elve, Todd (Heather) Elve, Stephanie (John) VandenBosch, Sarah (Chris) Walker, Amanda (Melvin) Sours and Jacob Weiderman; 13 great grandchildren; a brother, Curtis Spencer Cross. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Peggy Jean Bock on November 3, 2008, and two sisters, Barb Judy and Phyllis Baur. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, April 14, 2014, at Calvary Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Kenneth Cross Memorial Fund c/o Calvary Baptist Church.
