Kay Lynn Case, age 69 of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2023. She was born January 26, 1954, in Battle Creek, Michigan, the daughter of Robert Lane and Treva Jean (Fisher) McElgunn. Kay attended Harper Creek Schools until her junior year when she moved to Union City and graduated from Union City High School in 1972. She enjoyed working in her yard and gardening, loved animals especially her cat Stoli, and was a fan of both University of Michigan and Detroit Lions football. Kay retired from ASMO Manufacturing in 2016 where she had worked for over 15 years. On May 3, 1986, she married Richard Lee Case, who preceded her in death on October 4, 2017. She was also preceded by her father Robert McElgunn, mother Treva Kenyon, and  brother Robert McElgunn, Jr. Kay is survived by her son Brian (Shannon) Watkins of Battle Creek; two grandchildren: Justice and Lance Collins; three sisters: Vickie (Chris) Davis of Battle Creek, Sheryl Troutner and Dawn Britton both of Florida; a brother Michael McElgunn of Battle Creek; and three nephews: Max Troutner, Nicholas Davis & Joshua Davis. A Memorial Gathering will be held Thursday, September 14, 2023, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. The family requests memorial contributions be given to the American Cancer Society or the Humane Society of South-Central Michigan. www.henryfuneralhome.org
