Kathleen Colby

Our beautiful mother, Kathleen E. Colby went to live in Heaven on Friday, March 18, 2022. She was born on December 6, 1932, to Joseph and Elsie McGuire. She worked for Kellogg’s for many years retiring as the payroll manager while working there. She also volunteered for the United Way, Big Brothers and Big Sisters, the Red Cross and Safe Place. She then went to work as the receptionist at J.C. Penney Beauty Salon until she retired again! She was the Secretary and Treasurer for Sonoma Methodist Church and volunteered at Bronson Hospital and the Food Bank. Mom was a very busy lady, she loved everyone and everyone loved her. She had a beautiful smile and heart!  She was a member of the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Mom was preceded in death by her parents and grandson, Matthew Dorsey. She is survived by her brother, Robert (Margaret) McGuire and their children; her Children, Terry (Steve) Metzger, who also serve as her caregivers, S. Scott (Sammy) Dorsey; grandchildren, Stephen (Melissa) Metzger and Paul Metzger; great grandchildren, Anna, Joel and Sarah Metzger, little Kaye Jaksen and their mother, Sherry Stallard; step-grandchildren, Jake (Andrea) Jessup, Shawn Deprez, Norman (Michelle) Johnson, Ken Johnson and Molli and all of their children. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place and there will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. See you later mom, We Love You!
