Karlene G. Millard, age 67, of Battle Creek, passed away Thursday, June 12, 2014. She was born May 27, 1947 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Karl G. and Grace E. (Wine) Millard. Karlene was a lifelong resident of the area and had worked at Woolworths Department Store for eight years, Michigan National Bank for over 17 years and retired in 1994 from Comerica Bank. She enjoyed softball, bowling, crocheting and ceramics, and was a former board member of the Women’s Bowling Association. Her baby was her dog "Bright Eyes" who she loved very much.
She also would go out of her way to help anyone who needed something. Karlene is survived by her two brothers: Karl G. Millard, Jr. of San Antonio, TX and Ronald E. Millard of Easley, SC; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. www.henryfuneralhome.org
