Karen Sue Weaver, age 53, of Battle Creek, passed away Monday, May 11, 2015 at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo after a long battle with ovarian cancer. She was born July 27, 1961 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Robert and Sophie (Prilika) Cunningham. A 1979 graduate of Delton Kellogg High School, Karen worked at the Credit Bureau of Battle Creek for over 20 years and most recently worked at Battle Creek Oral Surgery for Dr.’s Loudon and Grupka. She was a member of the Eastern Star, past president of Prairieview Elementary P.T.A. and was very active in the Lakeview Schools where her children attended. On November 30, 1985 Karen was married to David W. Weaver who survives. Also surviving are their children: Thomas Weaver of Battle Creek and Michelle Weaver and her fiancé Thomas Spritzer of Battle Creek; mother-in-law: Sharon Weaver; sister-in-law: Cathy Bush both of Battle Creek and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Karen was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Banfield Cemetery.
