Karen S. Blaskie, age 75, of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, August 25, 2017 at Grace Healthcare of Three Rivers. She was born October 4, 1941 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of Paul and Ella (Smith) Oliver. She attended Lakeview schools and managed several rental properties in the Battle Creek area with her husband, Bert. Karen will be remembered for her great sense of humor and outgoing personality. She was loved by her family and many friends. Karen is survived by her three daughters: Carrie (Jeff) Chisholm of Missouri, Lisa McGovern of San Antonio, Texas and Amie Cronkhite of Battle Creek; two step-children: Nick Blaskie of Battle Creek and Shannon Sims of Kalamazoo; twelve grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sister, Joyce Weatherill of Arizona and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bert Blaskie, son Mark Wright, step-son Chris Blaskie and sister Lois Billings. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
