June Miller

June Eleanor Miller, Age 93, Of Battle Creek, Died Sunday, June 1, 2014, at Evergreen Senior Care. June was born on December 19, 1920, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Edward L. and Bernice Marie (Miller) Waterson. She had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended the Calhoun County Agricultural School and was a 1939 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. In Union City on October 4, 1942, she was united in marriage to Carleton E. Miller which ended in divorce. June taught dancing, piano and guitar in her earlier years then was employed in the layout and design department at General Foods. She was a member of Battle Creek Friends Church and was a church and Sunday school pianist. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, quilting, walking and gardening. Surviving are her children, Audrey C. (Jeff) Randall of Augusta, MI, William A. (Therese) Miller of Battle Creek and Martin J. (Sue) Miller of Marshall; 9 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild; a sister-in-law, Donna Waterson of Battle Creek. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James F. Waterson. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, June 5, 2014, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Hadlich of Battle Creek Friends Church officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
