June E. Fitzgerald, 80, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday September 22, 2012 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. She was born on June 5, 1932 in Rimer, PA to William J. and Mary (Craig) McEnteer. June came to Battle Creek in 1944 and attended Battle Creek Public Schools. She was married to Richard Savage and then Gayle Fitzgerald, both ended in divorce. June was employed by the Kellogg Company, V.F.W. Post # 8715, K-Mart, and American Fibrit.
She is survived by two sons, Daniel L. Savage and Thomas J. (Yani) Savage, three daughters, Deana M. (Tom) Powell, Denise M. Brodock, and Cheryl A. Moore, ten grandchildren, many great grandchildren, a brother, William McEnteer, and a sister, Shirley Burdett. June was preceded in death by a grandson, Mitchelle Savage, a brother, James Butler, and a sister, Velma Rush. She was a member of American Legion Post # 298 Auxiliary. June enjoyed crocheting, crafts, and spending time with her grandchildren. Family will receive friends from 2pm to 4pm and 6pm to 8pm Wednesday September 26, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where services will be held 11am Thursday with Pastor Kelly Hadlich from Battle Creek Friends Church officiating. Entombment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be given to “In God We Trust”, Mitchelle T. Savage, Memorial Scholarship Fund.
