Joyce Irene (Hadwin) Squires, 83, of Battle Creek died Thursday December 20, 2012, at Evergreen Senior Care and Rehab and is resting in the arms of Jesus.
Joyce was born December 22, 1928 in Mason, Michigan, the daughter of Jason and Cecile Hadwin.
On June 8, 1946, Joyce married Herman Squires in Battle Creek, Michigan. Joyce loved her family and everyone at Evergreen Senior Care and appreciated the wonderful care they gave her. During her four and half years at Evergreen she always said; “I will bloom wherever God plants me”, and she did. She will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; son William (Bill) Squires, parents, Jason and Cecile Hadwin, brother, Donald Hadwin and sister, Betty Rial.
She is survived by: sons Robert (Kathy) Squires, Ricky (Barb) Squires, daughters Sharon (David) Potter and Diane Withers, grandchildren and a brother, Thomas Eugene Hadwin and sister, Shirley Shults.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday December 27, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Home. Friends will be received by Joyce’s family on Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
