Joyce Mickenham

Joyce Leigh Mickenham, age 90 of Battle Creek, passed away Friday, May 30, 2014 at Bickford of Battle Creek. She was born March 16, 1924 in Flint, Michigan the daughter of George and Velva (Smith) Ferguson. Mrs. Mickenham was a graduate of Battle Creek Central High School. While attending Bible College in Zion, Illinois she met Raymond A. Mickenham, and they were married in Battle Creek on August 11, 1945. Joyce retired from the Kellogg Company where she had worked in the accounting department for 30 years and following her retirement she and her husband wintered in Tucson, Arizona and spent many years traveling all over the country. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church and the Kellogg 25 Year Club. Surviving is her sister, Ruth Ware and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Ray on September 22, 2010, two brothers: Wesley and Lynn Ferguson and her parents. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Muirhead officiating. Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
