Joyce L. Gregory, 76, of Battle Creek passed away Saturday March 16, 2013 at home. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Kalamazoo, MI to Douglas and Margot (Vale) Martin.
She was raised with love by her grandparents Don and Bessie Martin.
Joyce attended Kalamazoo Central High School. She enjoyed working at the Kalamazoo Gazette and the W. K. Kellogg Foundation for many years. Joyce was united in marriage to Wayne H. Gregory on April 21, 1984, he preceded her in death on February 9, 2009. She took great pleasure in reading Emily Brightwell novels, cooking, knitting, and crocheting and taking care of those she loved.
Joyce is survived by a son, Jack L. (Maureen) Versau, of Angola, IN; her daughters, Julia A. Versau, of Valparaiso, IN; Susan M. (David) Thole, of Vicksburg, MI; and Katherine J. (Edward) Runyon, of Battle Creek, seventeen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by her “Boys” (dogs) Max and Michael. Joyce was also preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Lynn Adams in 1999
Family will receive friends from11am to 1pm Thursday March 21, 2013 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where funeral services will be held at 1pm. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
