Joyce Brown

Joyce E. Brown, age 85, of Battle Creek, passed away Sunday, June 30, 2019 at her home. She was born February 2, 1934 in Battle Creek, Michigan the daughter of John A. and Beatrice H. (Mosher) Simmons. Joyce worked at Miller Jewelry following her graduation from Battle Creek Central High School in 1952 and retired from the Kellogg Company after 22 years of service. She was a member of the Bedford Chapter #471 Order of the Eastern Star and enjoyed working in her yard. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, two sons: Craig and Donald Brown and sister Audrey Westrick-Crippen. She is survived by her daughter in law, Sue Brown of Cincinnati, OH; four grandchildren: Dana, Craig, Jennifer and Christopher; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, John A. Simmons of Longwood, FL; brother in law, Howard Westrick of Battle Creek and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in the chapel at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice Care of Southwest Michigan.
