Jovita Ramirez

Jovita O. Ramirez, 88, of Battle Creek, passed away Sunday, September 15, 2013. She was born February 15, 1925 to Vicente and M. Gracia (Rodriguez) Ornelas in Jalisco, Mexico. Jovita is survived by her five daughters: Jovita (Javier), Margarita (Arturo), Leonarda, Marta (Lupe) and Carmen; six sons: Jose Jr. (Tammie), Fernando (Diane), Arturo, Francisco (Susan), Simon (Candace) and Juan; numerous grandchildren and their families. She was preceded in death by her husband Jose in 2006; three daughters and a son. Jovita enjoyed knitting, working in her garden, especially being outdoors and spending time with her family. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home this evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with interment to follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
