John Joseph Semer Jr.

June 7, 1951-August 7, 2021

It is with great sorrow and much love that we mourn the passing of John. He fought, and unfortunately lost a courageous battle with cancer.

John was loved and adored by his family. He is survived by his wife of 47 years Lynn;  daughters: Dr. Carrie Wright Reyes (Jonathan) and Tracey Huddleston (Chris); grandchildren: Carson and Reagan Wright, Dane and Tysen Barton, Riley Hack, and Jacob Huddleston; siblings: Bonnie Semer, Kathy Harris, Julie Helton (Earl), and Jeannie DeCamp. John also had countless nieces, nephews, great nieces, and nephews that he enjoyed immensely.

John was preceded in death by his parents: John Semer Sr., Maxine Lapinski, and sister; Jill Tice.

John and sisters; Julie and Jeannie were the first living triplets born at Riverside Hospital in Trenton, Michigan. After graduation, John served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. He spent his career as a Mechanical Technician for Michigan Bell and other phone companies. John retired in August of 2019. He enjoyed visiting with his family, telling jokes, and the Despicable Me minions.

The family will hold a private memorial in his honor.
