John Russell

John G. Russell, born on June 29, 1934 in Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on November 15, 2024. He was the son of Laverne and Kathleen (Joy) Russell. John was united in marriage to Ammy J. Simmonds. He was a dedicated and hard-working individual who devoted 39 years of his life as a factory worker for Kellogg's company. Following his long career there, John continued his commitment to service as a general service employee at Omni Credit Union. In addition to his professional contributions, John earned an Agricultural Associates Degree. He embraced life with a variety of interests which included golfing, bowling, selling used cars, and hunting and fishing. These pursuits were not just hobbies; they were a testament to his energetic spirit and love for the outdoors. John is survived by his daughters, Kay (Frank) Sutfin and Kimberly (Roger) Noble; his brother, Robert Russell; as well as eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Ammy Jane Russell ; his father, Laverne Russell; and his mother, Kathleen (Joy) Russell. Their memories live on through the stories shared by the family that John cherished. Visitation will be held at Richard A Henry Funeral Home in Battle Creek, located at 703 Capital Ave SW, on November 22, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM.
