John P. Cipcic, Age 82, Of Battle Creek, Died Sunday, December 4, 2011, at The Oaks of North Pointe Woods. John was born on May 1, 1929, in Battle Creek, the son of Mathew and Katherine (Prilika) Cipcic. He had been a lifelong resident of the area and attended the Battle Creek Public Schools. He was united in marriage to the former Beverly J. Young, who preceded him in death in 1985. John was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was employed at Michigan Central Railroad for 2 years and then at Clark Equipment until his retirement after 37 years of service. He attended the area Catholic Churches and enjoyed fishing the piers of Lake Michigan and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by a daughter, Tamara Cipcic of Battle Creek and a step-son, William Andrew Fuller of Battle Creek; 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren; sisters, Violet Bosrock of Henderson, NV, Pauline Monroe of Tulsa, OK, and Rose Hensley of Battle Creek. He was preceded in death by sisters, Donna Almond, Sophie Truby and Mary Hoffman; brothers, Marco and Joseph Cipcic; a granddaughter, Lyndy Fuller. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 9, 2011, at the funeral home.
