Joan (Burton) Brisbin, age 84 of Battle Creek, died Thursday, September 29, 2022. Joan was born May 21, 1938, in Bellevue, Michigan the daughter of Robert and Pauline (Gossitt) Burton. In 1955 she was united in marriage to Roy Brisbin in Angola, Indiana, and he preceded her in death in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty Broughton, brother Donald Burton and son Roger Allen Brisbin. Surviving are four daughters: Rose (Steve) London of Delton, Debra Brisbin, Gloria (Mike) Genovese and Christine (Kirk) Moody all of Battle Creek; three granddaughters: Amy (Clayton) Bonney, Stacey (Blake) Clark and Shannon (Mike) Horton; two grandsons: Ken and Christopher Peterson; eight great-grandchildren: Natilly Peterson, Nicole Peterson, Saige Horton, Tate Horton, Jesse Livingston, Nick Peterson, Abbey Peterson and Kylan Peterson. Joan pumped gas at Koffee Korners, in Pennfield where she met her husband, Roy. She was a homemaker who enjoyed raising her children, and later in her life was a homecare provider. Joan was a member of the Eagles lodge #299 in Battle Creek. She enjoyed decorating the craft room for the different seasons and organizing Bingo at Bent Tree apartments. Her hobbies included making wedding cakes, crafting and making floral arrangements. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren which were the love of her life. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 6, 2022, at Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with a private interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery.
