Jerry W. Clark

Jerry W. Clark, age 85, of Battle Creek, passed away at home on February 7, 2025. He was born on July 11, 1939, in Battle Creek, the son of Paul and Marie (Smith) Clark. Jerry was a lifelong area resident, graduating from Pennfield High School in 1958. He previously worked as a meat cutter for National Foods, then went on to work for the Kellogg Company for thirty years, retiring in 1994. Jerry enjoyed building and repairing clocks and was a member of the National Association of Watch & Clock Collectors. Jerry was an avid sportsman, enjoying golfing, bowling, softball and bocce ball. When not playing sports, you might find him at local auctions or tractor pulls. He enjoyed traveling, wintering in Arizona with his wife and going to the Chet Atkins conventions in Tennessee. Jerry was united in marriage on July 6, 1999, in Nashville, Tennessee to Ethel Hepler, she survives. Also surviving are his children; Michael Clark, Sheri Eldred and Rebecca Engle, all of Battle Creek, brother, Bob (Lisa) DeRushia, stepbrothers; Steven (Jane) and David Eldred, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Rosie Lampman and brother, Corky Clark. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday February 17, 2025, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Funeral service scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at the funeral home, Pastor Bob Norton officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Michigan Chapter.
