Jennie Lichty

Jennie L. Lichty, 79, of Battle Creek, passed away Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Borgess Medical Center surrounded by her family. Jennie was born April 28, 1935 in St. Johns, Michigan the daughter of Dewey and Francis (Stearns) Charter. She was a hairdresser for many years retiring in 1989. On July 2, 1982 she was married to Charles James Lichty who preceded her in death on February 8, 2013. She and her husband loved company, fishing and going to Florida for the winter. She was also preceded by her parents, sister Dorthy Bennett and brother Deverne Charter. Jennie is survived by her sons: Mike (Joan) Findley and Mark Findley; granddaughter Jaime (Dan) Nemire; grandson Jon Findley and their children; two step-sons and their families. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with interment to follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan. www.henryfuneralhome.org
