Jeff Gardiner sadly left this earth on November 17, 2020 at the age of 60. He was born at Leila Hospital in Battle Creek, MI on July 19, 1960. Jeff was raised in Battle Creek, MI. the son of Ralph Gardiner and Kathleen Winifred (Carroll) Gardiner. He owned and operated his garage which he referred to as his “Shop” for over 30 years, and per Jeff’s wishes the shop is still in operation and is being ran by his son, Josh. Jeff loved his family, especially the love of his life, Mary Jo Wortley, his son Josh (Melissa) and his brother Rob which lived nearby, they often “Shot the shit” mostly about cars. Jeff also dearly loved his dog, “Chloe” which remained by his side until the end. Jeff had many friends, too many to name them all, but loved all of them, especially his lifelong friend, Dave Halder. His passion was playing rock and roll music on his guitar with the Rolling Stones being his favorite songs to play. He also wrote and recorded his own music. Anyone who knew Jeff knew he loved his “Happy Hour” and many of you joined him. Jeff was also a big Detroit Lions fan. He helped people in need and would give the shirt off his back. Jeff is survived by his true love, Mary Jo Wortley, son, Josh (Melissa) Gardiner of Battle Creek, brothers, Frank (Kathy) Gardiner of West Virginia and Ralph (Rob) Gardiner of Battle Creek. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews not just blood related but very loved. He is also survived by his beloved dog Chloe. He was preceded in by both of his parents, Ralph and Kathleen Gardiner, brother, James (Jim) Gardiner and sadly 6 days after Jeff’s passing, his sister, Susan Kay Henry of Battle Creek passed away. Cremation has taken place, as per Jeff’s wishes no services will be held. A celebration of life will be held this spring/summer in honor of Jeff Gardiner. www.henryfuneralhome.org
