Jeanne M. Currier, 82, (forever “39”) of Battle Creek passed away Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Bronson Battle Creek. She was born on July 30, 1929 in Rocky Mount, NC to Joseph and Vida (Fisher) Boucher.
Jeanne graduated from Battle Creek Central High School in 1947. She was united in marriage to John F. Currier on September 16, 1950 in Battle Creek.
Jeanne is survived by her husband, John, a son, Edward J. (Christy) Currier, a daughter, Shirley A. (Gary) Cummins, all of Battle Creek, nine grandchildren, Terra (Derek) King, Justin Tindol, Gary (CJ) Cummins Jr., Chelsea Cummins, Charly Cummins, Greg (Lori) Tuttle, Colton Durkee, Cody Currier, and Clarissa Currier, three great grandchildren, Macklin King, Andersyn King, and Bentley Currier. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Edward C. Boucher and a sister, Betsy Boucher.
She was a member of St. Jerome Catholic Church and Women’s League. Jeanne was first and foremost a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She enjoyed her flowers, traveling, taking bus trips and baseball.  She was an avid supporter of all her children and grandchildren’s activities and sporting events.  She could always be counted on to show up at volleyball games with her famous homemade chicken noodle soup.  She was known for her wonderful cooking which she did for many people and organizations throughout her lifetime.
Family will receive friends from 5pm to 8pm Thursday May 24, 2012 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home where a Rosary will be recited at 7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 am Friday at St. Jerome Catholic Church with The Rev. Mathew Manalel officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to charity of one’s choice.
