Jean Boyette

Jean Kaye Boyette, Age 74, Of Battle Creek, Died Saturday, November 2, 2013, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Jean was born on May 3, 1939, in Battle Creek, the daughter of Vern and Madalene (Hixon) Wood. She had been an area resident for most of her life. She was a graduate of Tekonsha High School. On April 8, 1961, she was united in marriage to Rodney A. Boyette who survives. Jean was employed at the Federal Center from 1964 until her retirement. She was a former member of Family Altar Chapel. Surviving are sons, Daryl E. Boyette of Scotts, MI, and Derick A. Boyette of Battle Creek; 1 granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren; brother, James H. Wood of Muskegon and a sister, Judy A. Micheler. She was preceded in death by her step-father, Byard Wood, her mother, Madelene Wood and a brother, Steven A. Wood. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
