Died Thursday, February 18, 2021, at her residence. Janis was born on September 11, 1946, in Detroit, MI, the daughter of, James I. and Mabella L. (Hart) Milne. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Springfield High School in 1964. She worked as a legal assistant for Legal Aid, was a Bartender at Nottke's Bowling Alley and then was employed at the Kellogg Company as a Maintenance Engineer retiring in 2011 after 35 years. Janis was a member of the Grain Millers Association through Kellogg’s. She enjoyed yardwork, gardening, puzzles, Tetris, Euchre and bowling. Surviving are her children, James L. Weaver, Jeff (Amy) Weaver and Angie Crandall; grandchildren, Janis Taylor, Erika Dangler- Weaver, David and Johnny Crandall and Jamie Wellington; 5 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Karen Marie Hale in 1990 and a brother, Timothy Irwin Milne, Sr. in 1989. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
