Janet Brisbin

Janet M. Brisbin, age 86, of Galesburg and formerly of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at the Borgess Medical Center. She was born March 26, 1927 in Kalamazoo, Michigan the daughter of Otis and Rozilla (Simons) Reynolds and spent her early years in the Bellevue and Hastings areas. Janet attended Culver Elementary and Hastings High School. She had worked at the Weston Biscuit Company, Oliver Aviation and retired from Sears, where she had worked for 15 years. On December 25, 1946 Janet married Glenn W. Brisbin in Battle Creek where they made their home for many years. She was a member of the First Assembly of God, enjoyed arts & crafts, baking and fishing; and belonged to a birthday club with her former school friends. Janet was preceded in death by her husband Glenn on January 13, 1990, one son Tom Brisbin, her parents and two brothers: William and Jack Reynolds. Surviving are two sons: James (Sharon) Brisbin and Ted (Seann) Brisbin; one granddaughter: Esme Brisbin; sister Maxine Bundy; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Janet’s family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. this evening. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with a private interment to be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens.
