Jane Young

Sunday May 4, 2014, Jane Elizabeth Young, 89, went to be with her Lord. She is now enjoying life pain free with her husband of 59 years Rexford C. Young, daughter Marcia G. Young and favorite aunt and friend Mary (Moo) Ritzler.  She is also preceded in death by her parents Catherine (Eigenbrode) and Harold Porter, brothers Marvin (Tommie) Porter, Robert (Dottie) Porter, and sister Mary Lou (Bob) Nichols. Jane was raised in Hagerstown, MD for 14 years by her loving grandparents Roy and Marcia Eigenbrode before moving to Battle Creek. She is a graduate of Lakeview High School and was employed by Michigan Bell Telephone during WWII. She was a dedicated member of Lakeview Baptist Church since 1951. She loved gardening, reading, shopping, traveling, and family.    She is survived by her daughter Jan (Dennis) Siddall, grand-daughters Shannon (Tim) Rizor of Battle Creek, MI, Jennifer (Scott) Kuhn of Winston-Salem. NC. great-grandsons Preston, Trent, and Justin Rizor, Noah and Josiah Kuhn, great-granddaughters Jane and Abby Kuhn, as well as cousin Edwin Ritzler and close friends and neighbors Ted and Donna Headings. She is also survived by her dog and faithful companion Molly.  Visitation will be held Sunday May 11, 2014 from 5 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 12, 2014, at Lakeview Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Metzger officiating.
