James T. Fox, age 66, of Battle Creek, died Sunday, December 9, 2012. He was born October 14, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Almeron T. and Ruth (Stewart) Fox. Jim was a 1964 graduate of Lakeview High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He had worked for American Fire Pump and Apparatus, the Kellogg Company as a mechanical designer, and most recently was a contract mechanical designer. Jim was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He enjoyed duck and bird hunting, fishing of all types and loved his dogs. On May 17, 1969 Jim was married to Anita M. (Johnson) who survives. Also surviving are two cousins: Gary and Mark Stewart. He was preceded in death by his parents and his aunt and uncle: Barb and Glen Stewart. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with The Very Rev. Mark J. Vyverman V.F. officiating. Interment will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. Memorial contributions may be given to the Wounded Warriors Project, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
