James Sheldon

James Lee Sheldon, 69, Battle Creek, Michigan, passed away on the 8th of May in Marshall, Michigan.

Jim Sheldon was born in Battle Creek to Donald and Flora Sheldon on May 19th, 1951. He went to school at Battle Creek Central and graduated in 1969. He went on to earn a degree in associates of science from KCC. He worked at Post Cereal first as a security guard, and then finished out his 36 years as a Fire Marshall. He enjoyed, photography, shooting firearms, pyrotechnics, amateur radio, motorcycle rides, gardening, tending to his roses, RC’s, exploring technology, working on his Automobiles and anything mechanical, prospecting, traveling, spending time with his family and grandkids. He was involved in PRA club of Coldwater Michigan, pyrotechnics group of Indiana, Calhoun County amateur radio club, Calhoun County Tea party, Calhoun County Republican Party, Calhoun County Gun Owners Association and very active in the NRA.

Jim Sheldon is survived by his wife Nancy (Bigley) Sheldon of Battle Creek, Michigan. Children Simone Buller (Jason) of Burlington, Andrea Hunter “Bunny”(Michael) of Clarksville, TN, James Lee Sheldon II “Junior”(Jennifer) of Battle Creek. Grandchildren Kalla and Aden Hunter, Luke and Lauralei Sheldon, and Lillian Buller. Half siblings of Jim are Kat Philo (Richard), Peggy Sue Belvin (Darold), Sherri Threet (Ronald) and Darold Bradley. Predeceased in death by parents Donald and Flora Sheldon, Son Jay Bonke, Birth parents Richard Philo and Lorain Walker(Bradley).

Service and burial will be held at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens, 1490 E Michigan Ave, Battle Creek, MI 49014, on May 15, 2021 at 10 am and closing will be held June 5, 2021 at 12pm(meal following) Richard A. Henry Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.
