James R. “Bob” Matthews, 80, of Battle Creek formerly of Woodland died Friday June 24, 2011.
He was born on Feb. 2, 1931 to Elmer and Claudine (Guy) Matthews. Bob graduated from Woodland High School in 1950. He was employed by Bradford White Corporation in Middleville for over 40 years. Surviving are a brother, Roger Matthews, of, The Villages, FL; a sister, Sandra Williams, of FL; nine nieces and nephews, fourteen great nieces and nephews, and seven great great nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes his body was donated to the University of Michigan Medical School. Arrangements are by the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. www.henryfuneral home.org
