James Fettes

James "Jimmy" C. Fettes, 53, of Battle Creek, went to be with the Lord after being stricken at home on June 23, 2015. Jim was born September 3, 1961 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Hector and Maxine (Mead) Fettes. He was a lifelong resident of Battle Creek and a graduate of Lakeview High School. Jim was a loyal friend who enjoyed golf, bowling and NASCAR racing. His true love was for animals, especially dogs. He enjoyed sitting for dogs of family and friends. Jim was preceded  in death by his parents; wife Pam; infant nephew Tony Fettes and grand-niece Ashley Melson. He is survived by his brother: Dave (Sondra) Fettes of Union City; nephews: David Tyler and Travis Fettes of Battle Creek and Davis Fettes of Union City; one grandniece and two grandnephews. A private family service will be planned for later this summer. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of South Central Michigan.
