Jacquelyn S. “Jackie” (Kipp) Katz, Age 52, Of Battle Creek, Passed away on Monday, January 27, 2014. Jackie was born on April 11, 1961, in Battle Creek, the daughter of James Arthur and Leatha Ann(Weimer) Kipp. She had been a lifelong resident of the area. She attended Battle Creek Central, and then received an Associates degree from Kellogg Community College and a Bachelor’s in Human Resources from Spring Arbor College. In 1989, she was united in marriage to Steven P. Katz who survives. This year would have been their 25 year anniversary. Jackie was employed with the City of Battle Creek for 14 years starting in the assessing department, then in human resources and most recently was promoted to Senior Purchaser. She enjoyed cats, NASCAR, shopping, entertaining, going to Curves and being with her family, grandchildren and friends. Surviving are children, Melissa (Mark) Ackley and Heather Katz; 6 grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; a sister, Christine Kay Kipp; brothers, Andy L. (Voni) Kipp, Steve Kipp and Mark E. Kipp; sisters of the heart, Dawn and Bonnie Govier. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Terry J. Kipp and a nephew, Ryan J. Kipp. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m., Friday at the funeral home with The Rev.
