Jackie Lee Nichols, age 67, of Hesperia, MI., passed away on December 25, 2021 at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids, MI. He was born on July 2, 1954 in Lincoln Park, MI., the son of Robert and Mary (Rummel) Nichols. Jackie graduated from Fowlerville High School in 1971, and then went on to receive his Associates Degree from Jordan College. Jackie proudly served in the United States Navy as a boiler technician from 1976 to 1980. He was a member of the American Legion in Hart, Michigan. He loved fishing, Marvel comics and movies, classic rock and roll, and partying. He was also an avid University of Michigan football fan. Jackie was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother; James Nichols. Surviving are his children; Kyle Nichols of Cedar Springs, MI., Anastasia Fulghum of Smyrna, TN., Jared (Regina) Nichols of Pierson, MI., Joel (Rebecca) Nichols of White Cloud, MI., sisters; Janet (Richard) Drews of Three Rivers, MI., Joyce (Dale) Omey of Taylor, MI., Judy (Jay) Malugen of New Baltimore, MI., thirteen grandchildren, and best friend; Christiene Beckley. Memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday, January 7, 2022 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Inurnment with military honors will take place at Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
