Died on Sunday, January 3, 2021, at the Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. Jack was born on August 28, 1952 in Battle Creek, the son of Anthony and Margaret “Marie” (Munger) Fleece. He was a graduate of Battle Creek St. Philip, Class of 1970. Jack was retired from the Ann Arbor VA Medical Center. Jack enjoyed Michigan Football and traveling. Jack was also a coach of the Veteran’s Wheelchair Team. Surviving are his daughters, Elizabeth M. Ballard of Canton, MI, and Angela Ewald of Marysville, OH, grandchildren Mason and Jenna Ballard. Brothers Robert (Mary Jane) Fleece, Richard (Kathy) Fleece, sisters Kathy (Alex) Ficaj and Jane (Dan) Anderson; his dear friend Cheri Ford and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Nancy Fleece.
In accordance with his wish’s cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 14th from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home and Cremation Services. A private graveside service will be held at the Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel. Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. In compliance with the current State of Michigan orders, the number of persons in the funeral home is limited to 25 and masks are required of all in attendance. www.henryfuneralhome.org
