Inez Crisfield

Inez H. Crisfield, Age 90, Of Battle Creek, Went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 14, 2014, at Calhoun County Medical Care Facility. Inez was born on October 29, 1924, in Spaulding, Nebraska, the daughter of Thomas and Eliza (Libby) Slack. She had been a lifelong resident of the area. Inez first worked at the Kellogg Company where she met Sheridan “Cris” T. Crisfield, they were married in April of 1946. She then worked for Post Cereal from 1948 until her retirement in 1989. She was a member of the Post 25 Year Club and the United Cereal Bakery and Food Workers Local 374. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, board games, card games and being with her family. Surviving are her children, Thomas A. (Denise) Crisfield and Donna J. (Stefan) Skories both of Battle Creek; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Sheridan “Cris” in 1972; a brother, Orlando Slack and sisters, Ruby Robinson and Eliza “Liz” Trammell. Visitation will be held Friday from 2 to 4:00 p.m. and 6 to 8:00 p.m. at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, December 20, 2014, at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Burr Oak Cemetery in Athens.
