Ila Bell

Ila L.  Bell, Age 91, Of Battle Creek, Died Monday, December 28, 2015. Ila was born on September 25, 1924, in Carlton Township, Barry County, Michigan, the daughter of Ervin E. and Katie (Kornoely) McCain. She had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Battle Creek Central High School in 1942. On November 10, 1943, she was united in marriage to John Bell who survives. She had been employed with the Kellogg Company in packaging and retired after 33 years of service. Ila was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church and the Kellogg 25 Year Club. She enjoyed traveling, playing cards and being with her children and grandchildren. Surviving are her sons, John E. (Susan) Bell, Jr. and Denzil (Mary Jean) Bell; 5 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by brothers, Denzil and Burdette McCain and a sister, Hazel Pauline. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
