Howard "Skip" Robbins

Howard “Skip” Robbins died peacefully after a battle with Leukemia and pneumonia in Battle Creek, MI on August 18, 2021, at the age of 76.  Skip is survived by his wife, Elaine Robbins, his children, Todd (Susie) Robbins of Battle Creek, MI, Tina (Tim) Magnan of Wesley Chapel, FL, Brenda Holt of Tampa, FL, Julie (Chuck) Staky of East Lansing, MI, and Shelly (Zach) Wagner of Kirkwood, MO.  He also left behind 19 beloved grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert “Bob” and Marion Robbins of Battle Creek, MI, and his brother, Harold Robbins of Battle Creek, MI and his niece, Cathy (Robbins) Hoffman of Battle Creek, MI.  Skip was born on February 20, 1945, in Battle Creek, MI to Bob and Marion Robbins. He graduated from Harper Creek High School. He married Elaine (Brandt) Robbins in 1985. Skip retired from Kellogg’s after 34 years.  He was a dedicated member of Shriner’s and often volunteered at the Kellogg Store.  His interests were travel, riding motorcycles, spending time with his family, and playing golf whenever he could.  Two of his loves were Michigan State and Pepsi.  No matter the situation, he always had a joke ready.  The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Thursday, August 26, 2021, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Funeral service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 27, 2021 at the funeral home, Rev. Chad Parmalee of Chapel Hill United Methodist Church officiating.  Interment will follow at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery.  All are welcome to attend and celebrate Skip’s life.
