Helen Schmitz

Helen M. Schmitz, age 64 of Battle Creek, passed away on April 5, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital.  She was born on September 8, 1953 in Warren, Michigan the daughter of Lincoln and Pebble (Moor) Quesenberry.  Helen was united in marriage to Louis A. Schmitz Sr. on December 20, 1973 in Warren, Michigan.  She previously lived in Florida prior to making her home in Battle Creek in 2005.  Helen was a homemaker and was previously employed as a supervisor at Checkers for four years.  She enjoyed painting, spending time with her family, and knitting & crocheting.  Helen is survived by her husband; Louis A. Schmitz Sr., son; Louis Schmitz III, step-daughter; Misty Schmitz- Garcia, sister; Velma (Tim) Powers, brothers; Claude Quesenberry and Carl Dials, grandchildren; Hannah, Jade, Louann and great granddaughter; Neveah.  Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Committal services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Rev.
