Harry Winsor Goddard was born on May 14, 1952 at Percy Jones hospital, in Battle Creek MI to Winfred and Marga Goddard.
Harry Goddard spent most of his life living in Battle Creek. As a child, he spent two years in Würzburg, Germany while his father was stationed there for the Army. Harry served his country in the Navy during the Vietnam conflict. After his discharge from the Navy, he settled back in Battle Creek where he met the love of his life, Linda (Kennedy). They were married on June 17, 1977, and enjoyed 44 years together raising their children.
Harry worked in retail for many years. His fondest working years included time with the BC Public Schools being a recess helper and ending his working career at the Doris Klaussen Center. His love for the kids and the friendships he developed will always be at the top of his greatest achievements in life.
Harry and Linda had four amazing children Harry, Tiffany, Chad, and Travis. Harry had unconditional love for his children and grandchildren. His happiest times were spent with them at their school functions, sporting events, or just gathering around the table. He also enjoyed watching sports from the comfort of his couch and playing the lottery.
He had a knack for making people smile. He will always be remembered for his witty remarks and funny t-shirts. Harry had a passion for helping others. Even if he had no clue about what he was doing, he was there to help anyone who needed it.
Harry stepped out of this world on January 6, 2022 after a short, but strong battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his family and wrapped in love.
