Harriett Pultorak, Age 96, Of Battle Creek, Went to be with the Lord on Monday, October 10, 2016, surrounded by her family at Bronson at Home Hospice Residence. Harriett was born on July 13, 1920, in Vicksburg, MI, the daughter of John and Catherine (Grubka) Stafinski. She was a graduate of Vicksburg High School and was a lifelong resident of the area. On May 5, 1945, she was united in marriage to John J. Pultorak who preceded her in death in 2011. She was employed at Eaton Corporation and then the Kellogg Company. Harriett attended St. Philip and St. Joseph Catholic Church and was a member of the PNA Club. She resided at Heritage Assisted Living for several years and enjoyed playing cards and Bingo. She was a devoted sports fan. Her favorite teams were the Detroit Tigers, Lions, Pistons, Michigan State, and…… Through the years she enjoyed attending her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren’s athletic events. Surviving are her sons, Jack Corey and Michael (Sharon) Pultorak; daughters, JoAnn Gillum and Carla (Glen) Blinn; grandchildren, Justine (David) Bentz, Vincent Aldrich, Steven (Brett) Corey, Ryan Gessner, Mark (Sophia) Gessner, Emily Blinn. Michael (Aimee) Pultorak, Benjiman Pultorak, Laura (John) Azoni, Julie (Jeff) Laudicina and Michelle (Jason) Byrd; 14 great grandchildren; a brother, John (Barbara) Stafinski. She was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Pultorak; brothers, Louis Stafinski, Joseph Stafinski, Frank Stafinski, Carl Stafinski and Edward Stafinski; sisters, Rose Gordnier and Violet Smith. In accordance with her wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to the service.
