Harold Dingledine

Harold E. Dingledine, age 73, of Battle Creek, passed away Wednesday, October 24, 2012. He was born April 21, 1939 in Battle Creek, Michigan the son of Fredrick James and Eva E. (DeMott) Dingledine. Harold served in the U.S. Navy and worked for many years at the Kellogg Company. He enjoyed gardening and watching the hummingbirds, he also loved music and NASCAR. On March 14, 1958 Harold was married to Margaret Louise (Buckner) in Waukegon, Illinois and she preceded him in death on April 29, 2003. He was also preceded by his parents, one brother, Anthony and one sister, Nancy. Surviving are two children: Victoria L. Shirk of Battle Creek and Steven (Lorri) Dingledine of Mooresville, NC; one granddaughter: Tasha (Joe) Claridge and their daughters: Lexi and Tiffany all of Mooresville, NC; four brothers: Boyd (Margaret) Dingledine of Hickory Corners, Vaughn Dingledine of Delton, Richard (Lynn) Dingledine of Battle Creek and Ronald Dingledine of Bellevue; two sisters: LuAnn (Gary) Gensch of Climax and Linda (Michael) O’Keefe of Battle Creek, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home with Rev. Travis Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Bellevue.
