Hannah L. Conley, 86, of Battle Creek passed away Friday January 11, 2013 at Schaffer Senior Care Home. She was born on April 28, 1926 in Matewan WV to Ferris L. and Mary E. (Hare) Miles. Hannah was united in marriage on February 21, 1947 in Paris, KY to Ray W. Conley, he preceded her in death in 1978. She has lived in Battle Creek since 1950.
She is survived a son, Donald R. (Kathy L.) Conley, of Homer, a grandson, Christopher (Holly) Conley, of Battle Creek, a granddaughter, Tracy (Vince) Conley-Leone, of St. Augustine, FL, and three great grandchildren, Zachary, Hailey, and Brady Conley. Hannah was also preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Ferris Jr., and three sisters, Carrie, Bessie, and her older sister. She was a member of the Moose Lodge in Battle Creek. Hannah enjoyed crocheting, dancing, her pets, and working in her vegetable and flower garden. She liked going to garage sales, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1pm Wednesday January 16, 2013 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6pm to 8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Humane Society of South Central Michigan or American Heart Association.
