Gwyneth Elaine Vaughan, 87 of Delton, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at The Manor of Battle Creek. She was born January 16, 1924 in Three Rivers, Michigan the daughter of Howard and Josephine K. (Prosser) Brunner. A 1942 graduate of Battle Creek Central High School, she had worked in the Purchasing Department of the City of Battle Creek and was owner/bookkeeper of Vaughan’s Truck Wash from 1960 to 1998. Gwyneth had been a member of the First Wesleyan Church, enjoyed sewing and drawing, bowled in several leagues in the area and loved to play Bingo. On March 17, 1960 she was married to Russell Vaughan and he preceded her in death on October 19, 1999. She was also preceded by her parents; two brothers: Howard and Delos Brunner and two sisters: Joyce Dick and Marilynn Osborne. Surviving are two daughters: Karen Boyle of Delton and Cheryl Pack of Hartselle, AL; six grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers: Wallace Brunner of Battle Creek and John Brunner of North Carolina and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Chapel at Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens with interment to follow. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
