Gordon F. Willbur,Age 86, Of Battle Creek, Died Monday, May 20, 2013, in Battle Creek. Gordon was born on January 3, 1927, in Battle Creek, the son of Earl and Elsie (Thomas) Willbur. He had been a lifelong resident of the area graduating from Marshall High School. Gordon was a volunteer at the Emmett Township Fire Department after high school. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. On October 25, 1953, he was united in marriage to the former Martha E. Willis who survives. Gordon was employed at the Kellogg Company in processing for 37 years retiring in 1982. He was a member of the V.F.W., the Kellogg Retiree Association and the Korean War Association 2nd Infantry Division. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening. Surviving are sisters, Betty (Duane) Downing and Pauline Franklin; many loving nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Paul, Duane, Kenny, Don, Roger, Larry and Bruce Willbur; a sister, Cecile Good. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 7:00 p.m., at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at the funeral home with Tom Raymond officiating.
